For years the place to be seen in the central Adriatic has been the famous Carpe Deim bar on the Riva near Hvar Town’s ferry terminal. This trendy establishment is set up with an exclusive feel with open air sofas arranged in small groups. It charges exclusive prices for reasonable cocktails and had a reputation that has spread throughout the islands and beyond Croatian borders.

It was closed during our visit in 2008 but re-opened in 2009.

Carpe Diem now also offers a beach bar/club on the nearby Pakleni Islands at the Stipanska Bay.
