Pizzeria Zara and Restoran Don Dino, Trogir
Pizzeria Zara and its sister establishment Restoran Don Dino sit on a small square just to the north (mainland side) of the square containing the Restoran Alka. Though the two are essential one operation they seem to maintain separate identities with the Don Dino offering a more formal menu of Dalmatian specialities while the Zara serves Pizza and Pasta along with other mainly Italian food all day.
Our visits are invariably to the Zara (though as I say the lines are blurred) and you can order from the Don Dino menu if you wish (we ordered an excellent fish pate before our Pizza on our last visit). We have had excellent salads, good pizza with slightly thicker bases, that cover all the options on the topping front and good pasta also. This establishment offers both a handy stop for lunch or a more serious stop for an evening meal. The quality is excellent, the prices reasonable and competitive and we have found the service to be swift, friendly and attentive.
We rate the Zara 4 flags but as yet have never taken the chance to try the Dom Dino directly, but it has the potential that is obvious from sitting in its sister and watching food come and go.
These twin establishments should cater to all tastes between them and as a result are well worth seeking out.
