Hvar Town to Vira

Departing from the centre of Hvar Town head west along the shore side path past the Amfora hotel lido. In the next bay after the Amfora you will reach the western suberbs of Hvar Town. Here you need to leave the shore (by the park and head through the streets until you reach the main highway going west. If you stay on the shore path you will eventually find you can go no further because of private property that runs to the shore around the bay at Podstine.
Follow the road west into the bay of Mala Garska and there at the back of the bay follow the road winding up the hill. This road loops around the bay and across the hill on its west side then turns north and eventually turns back towards the North East. Follow this road until you reach the left turn to Vira and then head north. Eventually you will be able to look down into the fishing port of Vira or head into the Camp Site where there are bars, a shop and a bus service to Hvar Town (check the bus times before you depart). You are also in the vicinity of Uvala Pribinja to the east of the camp site and the excellent Konoba Ringo.
