Brac: Uvala Krusica - submarine pen
Sites of historic interest (Yugoslav era submarine pen)
Uvala Krusica is a long narrow inlet on the south shore of Brac to the west of Bol and the Blaca Hermitage. It is one of several bays on this part of the shore of Brac which has the remains of Yugoslav period submarine pens. During our visit in 2010 we motored comfortably into the bay, hovered close to the entrance of the pen in around 10 m of water, but did not have time to stop.
The pen in the adjacent Uvala Smrka (western arm) may be a better bet for stoping as it is in slightly shallower water and is listed as an anchorage.
By boat only, there was not sign of a shoreside road. Though abandoned access to the pen is at your own risk.
Otok Brac: on the south shore ca 10nm west of Bol and 6nm east of Splitska Vrata.
